Warning light? We read it.
Computer diagnosis with proper equipment, then a plain explanation of what's wrong and what it costs before any work starts.
Mechanical repair
Engine, gearbox, clutch.
Repairs on all makes by experienced mechanics, with quality tools and replacement parts ordered from our suppliers.
Overheating
Needle in the red?
Radiators, hoses, thermostats and water pumps. One customer arrived overheating off the Via do Infante: a blocked hose, cleared the same afternoon.
Servicing
Oil, filters, check-up.
Scheduled servicing with oil and filters, fluid levels and a look at what's wearing out, so nothing catches you on the road.
Brakes & suspension
Pads, discs, shocks.

The family at the counter
Sr. Alexandre, his family and the mechanics
Auto Alexandre was registered in Loulé in 1998 and it is still a family workshop. Sr. Alexandre is the head mechanic and the first person you talk to; the family looks after the counter and the phone.
Customers come back for the same reasons: an honest price, the job done when promised, and people who take the time to help. One driver was taken to a painter by the family when the workshop couldn't fix her bumper; another had his holiday saved after an overheating van.
And the whole family speaks French, which is why so many of our reviews are in French.

My van was overheating on the Via do Infante while I was on holiday with my family. Sr. Alexandre asked me to come back at 14:00, and then a mechanic took the van straight in. A blocked hose, cleared. I could carry on with my holiday. I recommend them for the kindness, the dedication and the help.
